The Minister of Transport and Public Works Mr. Matjato Moteane has urged Members of the national assembly not to misuse protocol registration numbers issued to them by his government.

Mr. Moteane said it has been the case that parliamentarians abuse this registration numbers by inserting them on numerous cars that they own, which is illegal, saying any member who will be found abusing them, will be charged. 

He explained to them that this number plates are meant to ease their official trips, and be easily identified while on the road, therefore, they should not misuse this privilege. 

Mr. Moteane further said the government will from June this year, start issuing Personalised number plates and details about them will follow.
