President of the Lesotho Football Association Advocate Salemane Phafane says football has become one of the largest industries in the world.

Adv. Phafane said soccer is no longer about entertainment, adding that it is an industry in which large sums of money are invested. He further noted that through soccer, young men and women become popular and better known than heads of states.

He said football has taken over from other sporting codes around the world and has become important to people around the world, adding that it is for this reason that it has to be improved and developed emphasizing that Lesotho has to be on the same level with other countries in terms of football.
