The acting Principal Secretary of Environment, Mrs. ‘Mabataung Khalane says projects earmarked for Reduction of Vulnerability from Climate Change at Ha-Nkhetheleng and Ha-Makhabane, are a huge success.
Mr. Khalane made this remarks following the recent visit of the Ministry’s steering committee to these projects together with representation from Sebapala Catchment Area, with the purpose of assessing the state of the projects and whether they are still being taken care of.
She further applauded villagers who are still holding on all the projects which were meant to change their lives, emphasizing that Mohales’Hoek has indeed set a very high standard by ensuring that Donor funds are not put to waste.
Land rehabilitation projects which are funded by the United Nations Development Programme, are aimed at assisting Basotho to adapt easily to climate change.
