A 25-year-old man of Manamela, Ha-Talimo, Thato Molata has been slapped with a two-year imprisonment and failed to pay a fine of M2000.00 after being found guilty for house breaking.
According to evidence led before the Butha-Buthe magistrate court, the accused broke into the house of an 86-year-old ‘Mamokone Mfundisi in the morning hours of the 07th of this month and tempered with electricity equipment.
According to Mrs. Mfundisi, she was woken up by the disturbing sound of her door that was pushed by the suspect three times. She then looked through the window to see what was going on and the accused gained entry and went straight to the complainant who recognised him.
Upon realisation that he has been identified, he then fled the scene.
The matter was reported to the Area Chief who later informed the Police. The case was before Magistrate ‘Manyefolo Ramakhula and Prosecutor ‘Makhotso Letsoisa.
