As part of preparations for numerous festivities, security forces have begun rehearsals for the spectacular ceremony, with crowds gathering to have a peek. Over 511 parading soldiers called first and second Infantry Battalion, mounted police, musicians and paratroopers have come together to rehearse for this birthday celebration of the King. 

The Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Mr. Tumelo Raboletsi said, the rehearsals form an important part of the event as Basotho will come in large numbers to witness this momentous occasion.

Raboletsi also said they are expecting dignitaries from across the border, who will be in the country to celebrate with His Majesty on his big day. 

He therefore urged Basotho to come in their numbers to celebrate with their king.
