In this letter Maqutu wants Mr Ntshonyana and his party to show cause why his party can be deregistered on the list pf the parties with the Independent Electoral Commission after he is alleged to have tarnished the image of the commission and alleged that the director of elections is seen to be playing politics in his capacity as the director of elections.

In an interview with PC FM Ntshonyana indicated that he stands by his words and that he will not withdraw those statements which he said comes from one social media group, and that the director of elections has misdirected himself by writing this show cause why letter quoting some of the sections of the electoral act of 2011 as those acts do not apply to him but only on the conduct of political parties during election period.
