Bantu FC has expressed their disappointment for not going to represent the country in this year’s Confederation of African Champions League competitions.

Bantu FC’s Spokesperson, Mr. Pule Mosoatsi mentioned that  Bantu FC was unable to register to compete in this continental tournament after the Lesotho Football Association made an announcement that it has financial problems.

Mr. Mosoatsi said, this brought so much pain to the club as they were determined to go and represent the country well in Africa. He said Bantu will instead, go to Botswana this coming weekend, to take part in a four teams tournament being Bantu, two Botswana teams as well as another from Zimbabwe.

He said the tournament is organised by the Jwaneng Mine and that, besides the trophy that will be at stake, there will also be prizemoney 

When approached for comment, LeFA’s Media Officer, Mr. Mikia Kalati said, LeFA’s President had made an announcement in one of his media briefings that, if Setsoto stadium was still banned to host any international competitions, then the Association will not register any team for international competitions
