LEFA’s Secretary General Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi said, this was because the Stadiums in Johannesburg, are not available on that date. Mohapi said they are currently working on finer logistical details, but they have already confirmed this new venue.
Likuena’s opening 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier is against Nigeria’s Super Eagles away in Abuja on the 16th of this month.
LEFA will have to incur all the expenses for both Likuena and the visiting team.
Likuena will play Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Benin and Rwanda in group C of the FIFA World Cup.
