Maseru Mayor urges government to support their initiatives.

The Mayor of Maseru Mr. Motlalepula Sepipi says they have learned a lot from their counterparts at the recent international friendly games, held in Namibia

This he said in an interview with this station today, where he said Namibia is one of the cleanest countries ruled with Laws Lesotho can implement

Mr. Sepipi said it is his wish to see Lesotho at that level of cleanliness, further saying Namibia’s government financially supports the efforts of its mayors

He therefore, urged Basotho to keep their environment clean and avoid any actions that may pollute it, citing urinating in public places, and disposal of waste everywhere

In conclusion, the mayor said the international friendly’s which were attended by councilors and mayors, gave them an insight in both leadership and service delivery

Similar games were held in Botswana last year, and Lesotho is next years’ host.
