SAFA’s President Danny Joordan and two others face fraud and theft of R1.3m.

The South African Football Association President Danny Joordan and two others, have appeared before the Palm Ridge Magistrate Court in JHB, after allegations of fraud and theft of 1.3 Million rands.

This follows investigations by the Organized Crime Investigation Unit-Hawks which alleges that between 2014 and 2018, Joordan misused SAFA’s funds and assets for his personal interest, including hiring a private security for his own safety without the approval of the SAFA Board

In March this year, the Hawks seized electronic gadgets and files for further investigation. The report further says, Jordaan filed a Court application on Tuesday, in an attempt to block his arrest

His co-accused are SAFA’s CFO Gronie Hluyo and businessman Trevor Neethling.

Meanwhile, Jordaan and his co-accused were granted a 20 thousand rands bail each
