Mrs. ‘Marapelang Makoae from Lipohong Ha Makoae, Berea says, her family is struggling with hunger, after a thunderstorm struck their home over the weekend. 

In an interview with this station, Mrs. Makoae revealed that, the thunderstorm destroyed some of their belongings, including all their cooking utensils, leaving them with only a few clothes. 

She expressed that so far, they have not received any formal assistance apart from the help provided by the local chief and neighbors who helped extinguish the fire during the incident. 

Mrs. Makoae has called on the Disaster Management Authority (DMA) and other organizations to provide urgent support. Efforts to reach the DMA for comment following the interview, were unsuccessful.
