The Executive Head of Personal and Private Banking at Standard Lesotho Bank Mr. Rethabile Motsoahae says, the Bank is firm on its mandate to prioritize youth empowerment, and that it will continue to do so for years to come
This Motsoahae said earlier today, during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Standard Lesotho Bank and the Examination Council of Lesotho, aimed at strengthening educational initiatives in the country
Motsoahae also announced that, in this two-year partnership, the Bank will provide M300,000 to ECOL to support activities such as rewarding top-performing students and procuring marking pens for examinations
On the other hand, ECOL’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mokhitli Khoabane expressed gratitude to Std Les Bank, describing the partnership as a catalyst for enhancing digital access to quality education
He further said the funds will be used for digitalized communication, amongst the other intentions, whose aim is to enhance the learning progress
On behalf of the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Training Mr. Makula Ralenkoane expressed the Ministry’s appreciation for the partnership noting that, it aligns with the Ministry’s priorities and will contribute significantly to advancing education in Lesotho.
