The Chairman of the Leribe District Policing Forums Mr. Bereng Makotoko has announced a community policing meeting, in preparation for the upcoming Christmas holidays. The meeting is scheduled to take place on December 10th at Ha Malesaoana, Hlotse.
Mr. Makotoko explained that, the meeting aims to address strategies for combating the increasing crime rates in the district.
He says the primary focus will be to educate residents on crime-related laws and emphasize the importance of reporting crimes both before and after they occur
He highlighted that, youth are particularly vulnerable during the holiday season, as many are active at night, making them frequent targets of criminal activities.
In conclusion, Makotoko urged community members to minimize noise at night, to ensure that residents can rest peacefully.
