The High Court has granted bail of M7,000 to Ms. Ntsoaki Mahao, a suspect in the murders of Famo singer Khopolo Kholuoe and MXXL presenter Pulane Macheli.
Ms. Mahao had applied for bail, citing a hand injury sustained during the shooting of the deceased’s car. She claimed that, the injury occurred when bullets hit her during the attack.
She denied involvement in the murders stating that, she had accompanied her boyfriend, who had invited her to meet the deceased. She alleged that they were later ambushed and shot at the meeting location.
Ms. Mahao also revealed that, she was the one who reported the deaths of Kholuoe and Macheli to the Pitso Ground police. She added that, she required hospital admission due to inhaling gun smoke during the incident.
In this case, Ms. Mahao is charged alongside Bokang Moisa. The bail conditions stipulate that, she must not interfere with witnesses and must appear in court whenever required.
