Four villagers are struck by lightning during heavy rainfall in Mohale’s Hoek.  

Four villagers from Pesi, Qabane in MHoek, have been laid to rest after being struck by lightning during heavy rainfall on Saturday.  

The incident was confirmed by the Member of Parliament for Hloahloeng Mr. Katleho Mabeleng who noted that, there have been several lightning incidents in various villages, attributing them to climate change.  

Mabeleng extended gratitude to a local funeral parlour for donating four coffins for the deceased. He also highlighted the growing challenge posed by lightning in his constituency.  

He praised the nurses from Lebakeng Clinic, who travelled on horseback to administer medication to the nine injured victims of the same lightning strike.  

However, Mochatso Mochatso, a relative of the deceased, emphasized the need for the injured victims to be taken to a hospital, for further medical treatment.
