The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development in association with the Department of Quality, Metrology and Technical Regulation will host a seminar to commemorate the International Women’s Day in Maseru tomorrow.

The Day will be celebrated under the theme ‘Accelerate Action’

The Public Relations Manager in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and small businesses Ms. Lihaelo Nkaota said, this is a continuing initiative through which the ministry aims to implement its Gender Action Plan, with support from the International Organization for Standar-dization.

Nkaota said, this seminar looks to bring together stakeholders from various sectors that are mainstreaming gender in their areas of work and advocating for empowerment of women.

She further said, the structure of the seminar is projected to showcase women’s achievements in various sectors and furthermore, inspire action by sharing activities and progress made in Gender Equality.

Part of the seminar is to create awareness on the benefits of gender sensitive policies.
