Educational resources are still a barrier for students at Matseka Primary School in Ha Mapote Qacha’s Nek

This is according to the principal Mrs. Mapallo Hlephe, who expressed the need for a school building, which is the basic need for quality education.

Mrs. Hlephe stated that, they go through a lot during rainy season, where they usually end up discouraging students from attending classes as they have no shelter.

She said the ministry of education knows their plight but it has not heeded their plea.

Meanwhile, the deputy District Education Manager Mr. Mapepe (ekare  Jakote) Rakotje emphasised that, they are aware of Matseka challenges where they have made a request to their superiors, and are still awaiting a response.

Matseka Primary which still operates in Catholic church’s buildings, obtained 1st position in Qacha’s nek 2024 Grade 7’s results
