Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Mokherane Tsatsanyane and his brother Moorosi, were arrested today after being charged with the attempted murder of Ts’epang Phangoa.
Judge Mmatankiso Nthunya of the Maseru Magistrate’s Court charged both men with attempted murder, intimidation and public disorder.
According to reports, Moorosi allegedly assaulted Phangoa, while Mokherane fired shots into the air, causing public disorder at the scene.
The two men previously appeared in court last week and were released without charge despite police objections, as authorities feared they might attack Phangoa again.
Meanwhile, they are set to appear in the High Court on the 25th of this month to apply for bail.
