Small stock farmers from 15 wool sheds in Quthing are set to compete in merino sheep and angora goat nurturing, at the district small stock show, scheduled for April 15th at Moyeni Wool Shed.
Deputy Chairperson of the Quthing Wool and Mohair Growers Association, Mr. Mokole Rankoro confirmed that, the district competition serves as preparation for the two-day National Small Stock Show, which will take place in Maseru from April 24th.
He explained that, the competition aims to identify the best small stock farmers to represent Quthing at the national level, where they hope to achieve top rankings.
He added that, winners will receive prizes determined by the district show committee, while additional prizes will be provided by partners of the National Wool and Mohair Growers Association.
The district small stock show is an annual event held across all districts ahead of the national competition.
