TMokherane Tsatsanyane and his brother have been granted bail.

A Member of Parliament, Mokherane Tsatsanyane and his brother, Moorosi Tsatsanyane, have been granted bail by the High Court

The court ordered each to pay a M10,000 bail deposit and provide surety of M10,000. As part of their bail conditions, they must report to the Police on the last Friday of every month.

 They were also warned against interfering with crown witnesses and directed to stand trial to its conclusion.

The Tsatsanyane brothers along with Thupe Suoane who was granted free bail, face charges of attempted murder, assault, public possession of firearms and causing terror.

It is alleged that, on the 7th of March this year, near Old Shell Filling Station Bus-Stop in Maseru, they cocked and pointed a firearm at Ts’epang Phangoa and fired at him.

Reports indicate that, they carried a 9mm pistol, two pump-action rifles and a total of 58 rounds of ammunition in public.

It is also alleged they used unlawful force by assaulting Phangoa with their fists.
