Mabote Police & Community Combat Easter Crime

Mabote police in collaboration with community leaders, have lined up several activities aimed at curbing crime over the Easter holidays and beyond.

The officer commanding Mabote police Supt Mokete Matseletsele said, youth soccer tournaments will be held at Khubetsoana and Mats’eng-Ha Foso; to motivate young people and raise awareness about the impact of crime.

Supt Matseletsele announced the establishment of temporary police satellite stations in Motimposo-one of the area’s crime hotspots; pledging to ensure public safety during the holidays.

He also said, they are continuing to arrest liquor store owners who trade illegally and sell alcohol to minors

Supt Matseletsele further mentioned ongoing public outreach efforts, including public gatherings and visits to churches; to raise awareness on crime-related issues such as gender-based violence and sexual offences.

He appealed to the public, to report any criminal activities in their communities and work with the police to combat crime.
