Lesotho’s Ambassador to Ethiopia pays a courtesy call on the newly appointed Chairperson of the African Union’s Commission

Lesotho’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Ms. Nts’iuoa Sekete, has paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Chairperson of the African Union’s Commission, Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

Ambassador Sekete conveyed a congratulatory message and warm greetings from His Majesty King Letsie III, assuring the Chairperson of Lesotho’s unwavering support.

Their discussions touched on Lesotho’s role in the African Union’s integration and growth agenda, including the country’s ambition to see progress in job creation and the development of a highly qualified and experienced workforce.

Key topics also included Lesotho’s successes with the Highlands Water Project, its position in the textile and apparel sector, and how these sectors can be leveraged to advance intra-African trade.

Ambassador Sekete reaffirmed Lesotho’s active participation in continental affairs and its dedication to the principles and objectives of the African Union.
