Lesotho to Host National Dialogue on Private Sector’s Role in Addressing GBV in Workplaces.

The Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development, in collaboration with International Partners who implemented the Partnership for Prevention of Gender-based Violence in Southern Africa – PIP II, will host a National Dialogue on Private Sector Engagement in Gender-based Violence in workplaces.

The dialogue will be this Thursday.

The event aims to foster engagement with the private sector in establishing workplace strategies to prevent, and respond to Gender-based Violence. Additionally, it will provide a platform to raise awareness about the social and economic impacts of GBV in professional settings

Attendees will also have the opportunity to share best practices and Policies for creating safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive workplaces, and to foster partnerships that promote accountability and collective action

Various businesses are expected to pledge their support and capabilities in taking action against GBV, and to jointly develop actionable commitments aligned with their mandates
