Members of the Bokamoso Cooperatives Society have participated in a training designed to enhance their skills in producing and marketing petroleum.jelly and “Motoho.” This initiative aims to generate income and foster economic self-sufficiency within the cooperative.

Mr. Tanki Mphafane-the Chairperson of the Bokamoso Cooperatives Society, expressed gratitude to the District Cooperatives Department for providing the Vaseline production training.

 Mphafane noted that, the training has broadened their product offerings and improved their capacity to meet customer demand. He affirmed that, the society is now equipped with the knowledge and skills to produce a range of high-quality products, extending beyond just petroleum jelly. Ms. ‘Maqenehelo Matubatuba- one of the trainees, echoed these sentiments highlighting the beneficial nature of the training and her intent to apply the knowledge, to enhance her cooperative’s production processes.

Established in 2024, the Bokamoso Cooperatives Society comprises 14 members—three men and 11 women from Thabang village, on the outskirts of Mokhotlong town.
