The SAn Economic Freedom Fighters_EFF leader Julius Malema says the EFF is ready to join the Government of National Unity_GNU, a plan hindered by the ANC SG Fikile Mbabula
Briefing the media at party headquarters in Johannesburg yesterday, Malema said the ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has welcomed the idea of EFF joining GNU, the persistent problem is Mbalula who he claims has power within the ruling party
He also commended Ramaphosa for successfully leading the recent G20 Summit, despite the US absence, Malema calls on African nations and the world to stand in solidarity against the US president Donald Trump’s policies, that have shaken the global economy
When responding to the question about his absence during Shadrack Sibiya’s appearance before the ad hoc committee, Malema said the party’s deputy Secretary-General Leigh-Ann Mathys was present on behalf of the EFF, on this, noting that the party recognizes and supports women and their capabilities to handle critical matters
In conclusion, Malema reiterated EFF’s commitment to condemn gender-based violence, colonialism, also calling on EFF followers to pray for those facing conflicts in Sudan, DRC, Ethiopia and Palestine
