This was said by Consumer Protection Association President Mr. Nkareng Letsie, who showed that, if there is shortage in supply, demand becomes high and so do prices saying, this will be the case in poultry products.
Letsie said in order to protect local poultry, the country has made a good move in banning poultry products from SA as that will help protect local poultry produce.
He further emphasized the need for the country to produce for itself to avoid depending on SA.
Reports indicate that, the highly infectious bird flu has struck several provinces in that country.
