Lesotho Defense Force’s members based along the country’s borderline in Leribe and Botha Bothe are continuing in their prevention and fight against stock theft and confiscation of illegal guns.
LDF’s Public Relations office says their 13th Infantry Battalion in Mokotakoti Leribe were able to recover 21 sheep from thieves in Maputsoe Ha Chonapase which were already halfway in the river into South Africa this past Sunday.
During their campaign at Ha Napo, where they were searching for illegal weapons at local bars, they were able to find a 9mm pistol, seven rounds of ammunition, five knives and 6 sticks.
They also found two 9mm and 7.65 guns with 11 rounds of ammunition in Menkhoaneng and Kota.
