Lesotho Lowlands Water Development and Sanitation Project’s Phase III has promised developmental projects while continuing with construction of the dam that will supply Botha-Bothe and Leribe villages with water.

Compensation Officer And Community Liaison Officer Mr. Makotoko Maama said the African Development Bank has promised to fund community based projects such as dressmaking, plumbing, woodwork and building with awarding of certificates.

Maama said those people will be registered in their different communities and Technical and Vocational trainers will assess them before getting certificates so as to know the extent of their knowledge and skills.

There will also be 22 youth from five councils of Botha-Bothe and three from Leribe who will be given the youth apprentice programme to help them with training on the job they are qualified for, but lack training.

The Phase 3 of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development and Sanitation Project is designed to increase the quality, access and sustainable operations of improved water supply and sanitation services in Botha-Bothe and 12 surrounding settlements.
