The minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture Ms Ntlhoi Motsamai said, the road to women’s achievement in the industry has not been easy, pointing out that, as they conclude the African Women’s month and begin Tourism Month, they want to celebrate the role played by women in tourism in economic growth.
On the other hand, the Principal secretary in the ministry of gender and youth, sports and recreation Dr. Mamoeketsi Ntho said, women in tourism need to work hard to curb the spread of gender based violence and human trafficking, which usually happens in their businesses. Dr Ntho said they appreciate the role of women in tourism as it has contributed immensely in the growth of this country’s economy.
