Members of the Lesotho Defence Force who are in Mozambique celebrated their 20 years of service in the army in a celebration held at their camp in the Nangade District.

This was revealed by LDF Public Relations Officer Captain Sakeng Lekola who said the contingency has been in the military since 2002, and that their Commander Lieutenant Colonel Tefo Ramosie, applauded them for serving their country with dedication in these 20 years. Lt Col Ramosie urged then to remain loyal to their service and to continue serving their nation.

About 125 troops of the Lesotho Defence Force were sent to a SADC mission in Mozambique in August last year, to help combat terrorism and acts of violent extremism orchestrated by militants in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
