Mrs. Masetota Leshota, the Basotho National Party spokesperson has refuted social media claims that party leader Chief Thesele ‘Maseribane will be resigning from his ministerial post.
Leshota said this in an interview with the station this afternoon, where she disclosed that Maseribane’s term as party leader ends on the 12th of June this year, and that it will be entirely up to him whether to stand for elections again at the Mount-Moorosi constituency.
‘Maseriabane is rumored to be preparing himself to resign from office as a minister where he will later serve the country as an Ambassador in Italy.
Leshota said these allegations which came as a surprise to them, have no merits and the BNP’s executive was only made aware of such yesterday.
Basotho National Party will hold its party leader elective conference on the 12th of June with one candidate Mr.’Mota Nkuatsana withholding his intentions to contest.
