Qacha’s nek Business Community has embarked on the maintenance of roads within the town following the heavy rainfalls that started sometime around October last year that negatively impacted roads and bridges.
The Councilor at Manteko community Mr. Alphoncy Melao stated that they came up with the plan to embark on the road maintenance having realized that the government thorough its relevant department may take longer to attend to them due to lack of funds.
Qacha’s Nek District Council Secretary Mr. Motebang Mokoenehi, he said the infrastructure is badly affected, bridges and roads are damaged and the public is unable to travel to run errands in other places such as going to town or clinics.
