Standard Lesotho Bank has warned the public of the link that is trending on social media promising people that they will win cash prices from the bank.
The bank’s Public Relations Manager Mr. Manyathela Kheleli said these are the acts of potential hackers aiming to defraud the public of their hard earned money, and as a result advised them to be very vigilant.
One person who received this link Mr. Thabo Makafane said he did not take this link seriously as he had previously received similar ones claiming to be from other local banks.
It is alleged that the link requires people to select gift boxes, then send the link to 20 people in five WhatsApp groups after which they stand a chance to win M2,000 from Std Les Bank. It also indicates that the funds would then be in their accounts after five to seven days.
