What was envisioned to become a speedy exercise of collecting the remains for Basotho freedom fighters in different foreign countries has turned out to be a lengthier process. This was asserted by Lesotho Liberation Army Veterans Association (LLAVetA), Chairperson Mr. Fusi Koetje. According to the Chairperson, the initiative has seen the association collecting the remains of Mr. Tlali Monyane of Thaba-Tseka.’This process is now very slow as a result of families now wishing to consult their other family members to discuss these matters further,’ he stressed. This, he stipulated is delaying their timetable as they have over 200 people on the list, a journey that seems impossible at the present moment. So far, Mr. Koetje mentioned that they have approached over 10 families of which they are awaiting response allowing them to go repatriate the remains. In conclusion, he appealed for participation and support of various stakeholders for the success of the exercise meant to heal broken wounds and hearts.
