Lesotho Blood Transfusion Service Manager, Mrs. Maleqhoa Nyopa has strongly urged Basotho to donate blood in preparation for the Easter Holidays.

Nyopa says the blood bank is running dry blood that was collected from schools has already been distributed in hospitals and said blood demand is always high in Easter thus there is need to collect it in advance.

She indicated that some blood will be collected from some offices which had invited them from Monday until Wednesday this week, adding that they will be unable to collect more blood from schools as they are about to close for Easter holidays.

She therefore urged blood donors and Basotho who are healthy to donate blood at Queen II in Maseru, Mohale’s Hoek and Motebang hospital in Leribe.
