The Acting Leader of the House in the National Assembly Chief Thesele Maseribane raised a motion in the House that the House should go on adjournment until Friday May 22nd 2020, so as to give way and prepare for the smooth transition from the present coalition government to the new coalition government.
Chief Maseribane said it was incumbent on the House to adjourn so as to give way to the Council of State to deliberate on the smooth passage of government on the basis of the laws of the land.
The motion was seconded by the Leader of the Popular Front for Democracy Hon. Lekhetho Rakuoane who said it was their expectation that the Prime Minister will approach His Majesty the King to do what he has to do so that come May 22nd all will be on track for the new government.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon Sephiri Motanyane wished the outgoing Prime Minister and the outgoing cabinet ministers a fruitful rest until May 22nd 2020.
