The Alliance of Democrats – AD – says it has been longing for Government of National Unity, regardless of the party’s variations.

AD’s Secretary General Dr Mahali Phamotse said AD has accepted an invite from All Basotho Convention – ABC – to be part of the coalition.

She also outlined that the Government of National Unity was the idea of Dr Monyane Moleleki from as way back as 2006.

The Party’s Leader Dr Monyane Moleleki refuted allegations that the government has collapsed because of him. He said he was accused several times for keeping quiet when ABC had problems and therefore he has nothing to do with the collapse of the government.
He urged the new coalition parties to invite Lesotho Congress for Democracy – LCD – so that it also has a say in the Government of National Unity.
