Mr. Sam Matakane from Matekane Group of Companies says the PCR machines donated by MGC, NICR and World Health Organization will help the country run more tests per day.
Matekane said this during the official launch of the National Reference Laboratory for Covid-19 at Lepereng in Maseru yesterday. He said through this laboratory the public will not have to wait long for their results as it is expected to run 2000 tests per day.
He also applauded the health professionals for the dedication and hard work during this trying time.
The Prime Minister Dr. Moeketsi Majoro indicated that the country does not have enough doctors to help in the fight against covid-19; and the matter has to be addressed. He also stated that they need professionals who will work rotationally in order for testing to go smoothly.
The National Reference laboratory building has been donated by Lets’eng Diamonds Mine.
