World Vision Lesotho has distributed food packages to at least 73 vulnerable children and their households during an event staged at Ha-Tseetsana.
Speaking at the event, Sefikaneng Area Programme Coordinator Mr. Makhera Kalele said under normal conditions, their key client is a child; therefore the idea behind handing over food parcels is meant to extend a helping hand to World Vision registered children under their Area Programme
He further said through this initiative, families of such selected children will be able have something to eat while they are encouraged to stay at home as part of following COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, since the launch of food distribution programme in the past two weeks; World Vision has reached 1322 households at Mapoteng Area Programme, while at Sefikaneng Area Programme they managed to give 1091 and 2035 at Kueneng Area Programme.
