Risk Communication and Community Engagement of the ministry of health in Leribe is currently holding public gatherings around the district to teach communities about the importance of vaccinating for covid-19.

The communities were excited about the awareness as they had complained that they do not easily receive government services. They also urged nurses from health facilities, to conduct door to door vaccinations for the elders and the disabled who cannot walk to the clinic.

The team continued to schools to find out if the schools were adhering to the Covid-19 safety protocols in which they discovered that, most schools were complying with a few where there were no sanitizers or masks.

They also found out that, lack of water in most schools is hindering students to adhere to all the safety protocols.
