The Commander of the Lesotho Defence Force Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela says the death of Commando Private Moalosi Jacob Khoaele who lost his life in Mozambique, is not only a loss to his family but also to the nation and LDF, as his performance on this mission was exceptional.
Letsoela said this when receiving the remains of Commando Private Khoaele at the Mejametalana airbase in Maseru yesterday, in the presence of the prime minister, the deputy prime minister and LDF.
He said that a special burial service will be held in honour of the deceased at the Ratjomose military cemetery on a date yet to be confirmed.
Commando Private Khoaele who died due to malaria, was part of the contingent on a SADC mission in Mozambique, to assist their counterparts in the fight against terrorists in that country.
