Mohale’s Hoek Police will host a 3-day Christmas holidays youth camp for children aged between 10 and 16 from next Monday.

Senior Inspector Moeletsi Koloko of Mohale’s Hoek Police said the aim is to remove the youth from places where they get tempted to engage in crime during festive holidays.

Snr insp. Koloko said the initiative follows realization that during festive holidays, most youth get involved in criminal acts, such as joining vigilante groups of  ‘manomoro’.

The intention is also to keep them busy and instill in them values of patriotism, love and respect.

He therefore called on parents and guardians to bring their children to the camp.
