Two men have appeared before Maseru magistrate court charged with possession of illegal firearms and rounds of ammunition.
According to the police press statement, a 33-year-old Lekanyane Lefu of Ha Tsoili-Tsoili in Berea who resides at Ha Tsolo Sekoting and a 23-year-old Thabiso Mosollane from Ha Ts’osane Koaring were arrested by robbery counter theft police on the 20th of this month.
The suspects were found with two 7.65 mm guns with 16 rounds of ammunition.
They were sentenced to 1-year imprisonment and a fine of one thousand Maloti which they managed to pay and were released.
