A Mosotho woman reported to have been victim of human trafficking was buried at Sehlabeng sa Thuathe after being killed in October 2021.

The victim Moleboheng Mothibeli went missing in Limpopo South Africa after having been promised lucrative employment by her co- national Mosotho lady in October 2021.

According to one of her co- workers, Mothibeli could not be traced only to be found killed and thrown with the other seven in the forest.

On behalf of the family Mothibeli uncle Mr. Tau stressed their gratitude to government’s support from the time they learnt of the killing of their daughter until her burial. The uncle warned other Basotho about the danger of human trafficking which exists in foreign neighboring countries.

The minister of Home Affairs Mr. Motlalentoa Letsosa narrated how he learned of the seven trafficked and killed women and one being Mothibeli and that a certain Zimbabwean man was arrested as a suspect for killings.

He said as the government they had been following on this incident until the corpse was identified and investigations done to attest the nationality and the status of the corpse.
