The Minister of Public Works Mr. Lebohang Monaheng has applauded Mokhotlong contractors for establishing an association which will that is boost the construction industry not only in the district but throughout the country

The Minister was launching the Mokhotlong Contractors Association and sensitizing the contractors about the Lesotho Construction Industry Policy held in the district yesterday.

Monaheng said Mokhotlong contractors are the first to establish and launch the association and urged them to work together to promote the construction industry in the country. He also said he is grateful that they heeded his February recommendation when he visited the district on the categorization of contractors.

The President of Mokhotlong Contractors Association Mr. Lehlathe Ramoruti thanked the department of buildings and design services, for guiding them in the establishment of the association which they registered with Law Office in April this year.

Ramoruti said so far, the association has 20 members and they are still expecting many other to join in.
