Maseru Health Management Team’s Manager Dr. Moseme Makhele says vaccines roll out is of paramount importance as it is best to prevent through administering vaccines.
This Dr. Makhele said yesterday during a plenary meeting of all vaccines including COVID-19, where he pointed out that it is very costly to treat diseases and as thus, prevention is recommended
He said it is the responsibility of health workers to promote primary health care where they should ensure that health services are accessible to everyone even to those in remote areas.
He noted that before the advent of technology, they were able to vaccinate about 95 percent of targeted groups saying however it has been difficult in recent years as there are a lot of fallacies on the internet in regards to various vaccinations.
He also asked health workers to strengthen their relations with the public through Village Health Workers in educating the public about vaccines and their importance.
