The Principal Chief of Thaba-Bosiu, Chief Khoabane Theko’s birthday celebration is meant to revive King Moshoeshoe I’s legacy of peace and unity among Basotho.
One of the organisers of this event which will be held at Ha-Khoabane at Mablingo football ground on the 27th of this month Ms. Thakane Theko said, the celebration is also meant for Thaba-Bosiu community and those from neighbouring villages, to come together and celebrate in the spirit of oneness and peace.
Theko said as part of the celebrations, four football clubs from Ha-Ratau, Thaba Bosiu, Qoaling and Lithabaneng, will play in a knockout tournament on August 21st, where the winning teams will be awarded trophies and medals.
The Principal Chiefs of Ha-Maama, Rothe, Matsieng and Ha-Ramabanta will grace these festivities.
Chief Khoabane Theko was born on August 09th 1959.
