Following months of protesting, workers at the construction of Marakabei to Mononts’a road have finally  reported back at work.

China Geo Human Resource Officer at the Marakabei site Mrs. ‘Makhabo Mokhants’o said that operations are back to normal at the site

Mokhants’o said the strike was caused by claims that the work environment was not condusive to the wellbeing of workers.

Meanwhile Construction, Mining, Quarrying and Allied Workers Union Secretary General, Mr. Robert Mokhahlane indicated that workers have vowed to continue with the strike until all their demands are met by their employer.

It is still not yet clear if the workers’ demands have been met.
