Maseru Region Transport Operators met with political party leaders today to discuss issues surrounding public transport.

Maseru Region Transport Operators Chairman Mr. Mokete Jonase said they are not sure if Party Leaders will fulfill their promises when in power since they agreed with everything that was discussed in their meeting because of the upcoming general elections.

He said the objective of the meeting was to urge Political Leaders to persuade the government to address transport operator’s grievances, present a plan on how Leaders would assist them when in government as well as how they will convince them not to engage on strike during upcoming final political rallies.

Asked if they will still engage on strike, he said he could not comment on that because they still have to meet to map the way forward.
