More than 30 Basotho were arrested at Maseru Bridge upon their arrival from Newcastle South Africa yesterday.
Despite the agreement that these undesirable Basotho will cross into the country without being charged and fined, some got fined, while others got arrested and were escorted to Ladybrand police station where they were to appear in court today.
It is reported that some passports were destroyed and owners were given a chance to fix them, while others were fined and declared undesirable for five years.
The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Limpho Tau has however assured those affected by this, to be cooperative as the government is doing all it can to resolve this matter.
